About this Course
Are Managers and Supervisors taking no responsibility for injuries in the work place? Under the Workers Compensation Act 1987 &
the Injury Management Act 1998 everybody in the organisation has a role to play in the Return to work of injured workers. Assist Group
has developed a training package specifically for Managers & Supervisors. The training is aimed at aligning management to better
understand Workers Compensation Management, strategies and initiatives.
Course Outline:
- Mapping needs and concerns for all parties involved in compensation claim.
- Yellow flags.
- Suitable duties dilemmas, stuck on S/D, unavailability of S/D, work trials, strategies for progressing S/D and providers.
- Case management, insurer role and RTWC role.
- Disputed claims.
- Basic injury management, claim forms, certification, compensation files, rehabilitation.
- Initiatives.
- How do you know if you have problems with your OHSMS in regards to workers compensation?
- Graphing on companies that have had poor tracking and management of claims.
- With appendices on injury recovery times and important sections or the WC Act and IM Act.
