Now you have more than 6 months experience as a RTW Coordinator, why not further advance your skills in your role? Injury Management Assist now offers the WorkCover Accredited "Advanced Return to Work Coordinator" course.

This course covers managing more difficult cases whilst building on the skills you have already acquired in implementing the first RTW course. Sharing ideas and experiences with others in the role will further develop your "tool kit" of strategies. This is a One day course held in Sydney's CBD.

Course Outline

Morning

Session 1: Managing Complex Cases - Suitable Duties dilemmas i.e. trouble shooting suitable duties legislation
Session 2: Strategic Case Management - i.e. looking at IR issues, personal, claims, motivational and medical factors includes yellow flags
Session 3: Disputed Claims i.e. WCC, WAS, relationship with insurer, AMS
Session 4: Managing Complex Cases - Mapping and Negotiation
Session 5: Options for permanently/partially incapacitated workers, i.e. Job seeking clients

Afternoon

"What the", a case with Shoulder, Back and Psychological problems, were participants are given an unfit certificate and then have to undertake investigations, interviews and locate evidence to resolve "JACK" before the end of 1st year renewal.
Interview and investigate with an IMC Doctor, O/T and a Workers Comp Manager.
